Clinical Specialties & Areas of Focus:

Steve Willmot is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) focused on supporting mental and behavioral health in patients of all ages. He brings over 30 years of comprehensive mental health treatment experience to the team and specializes in treating a wide array of conditions through professional counseling and behavioral therapy.

About Steve Willmot:

Many aspects of our mental health are tied to our relationships with others, ourselves, and the world around us. Conditions like anxiety, depression, and grief can be expressions of the challenges we face in those relationships. Steve's approach to care focuses on connecting with people around what they find meaningful, where they struggle and thrive, and how they cope.

“One of the things I enjoy most about working in this field is listening to my patients’ stories and working with them to uncover what makes them tick, how they manage their day-to-day life, and how they deal with their past,” he shares. “Helping patients dig deeper to become the empowered authors of their own stories is very rewarding.”

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, walking, hiking, playing guitar, home renovation, and writing.

“I am originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, and in my early teens, my family came to this region on a camping and canoeing trip. Something about this area has always stuck with me. Working with Laurel Health is a great fit as I knew I wanted to deliver professional, quality care in the rural northern tier.”

Steve Willmot, LPC, is accepting new patients of all ages. To make an appointment, call 570-723-0620.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Pennsylvania State University at University Park in State College, PA, a Master of Science in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University in Dothan, AL, a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, and a Master of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH.
