Amanda Blasz is a certified physician assistant, wellness coach, and athletic trainer, specializing in orthopedic care and gerontology (caring for older adults). She loves educating patients about preventive care, nutrition, and how to incorporate healthy habits to live well.

About Amanda Blasz: 

Amanda relocated to the Troy – Canton area in 2012 and is excited to continue caring for the community she’s come to know and love at the Troy Laurel Health Center. 

“I’ve always been very passionate about wellness. I was drawn to family medicine because it requires a wide knowledge base to successfully navigate the vast array of health needs primary care providers manage on a daily basis, especially when it comes to how multiple health conditions interact and overlap. Family medicine is also a great opportunity to provide preventive care and education to keep patients healthy. What I find most rewarding about this field is being able to develop strong patient relationships and a great rapport as I manage their ongoing care.”

In her free time, she enjoys gardening, health and fitness activities, camping, wellness coaching, and spending time with her husband and four-year-old son enjoying the great outdoors. 

Education: 

Amanda received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Slippery Rock University, her Master of Science in Adult Fitness & Exercise Science from Bloomsburg University, and her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lock Haven University.
