Shannon is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She specializes in treating a wide array of mental and behavioral health conditions, and she is especially passionate about treating trauma. Her medical background includes nursing in inpatient, outpatient, telemedicine, and residential care settings.

About Shannon Nobles, PMHNP-BC:

Shannon Nobles brings 30 years of comprehensive nursing experience to the team. The growing need for mental health resources across the U.S. inspired her to specialize in providing mental and behavioral healthcare with a goal of providing those services within her own rural community. 

“I am passionate about caring for those in need and am committed to eliminating the stigma regarding mental health to assure patients feel comfortable accessing the services they need,” Shannon shares. “What I enjoy most about medicine is helping others and the therapeutic relationships I develop with my clients.”

She provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and comprehensive counseling / therapy services. Prior to joining Laurel Health, she provided mental health services with Guthrie, Geisinger, and Northern Tier Counseling.

Education: 

She received her nursing degree from Arnot Ogden School of Nursing in New York, her Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing from Kaplan University in Georgia, and her Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing from Drexel University in Pennsylvania.
