A Reason to Smile: TDS Officially Joins Laurel

This fall, there’s another reason to smile—after years of closely partnering, Tioga Dental Services officially joins the Laurel Health Center family on November 1.
Rural residents often struggle with access to dental care and the costs associated with treatment, particularly when on a tight family budget. As a result, many families go without proper dental care. This new partnership aims to improve access to affordable dental care for everyone.
“This will be wonderful for our community,” says Michael Telehany, DDS. “Becoming part of the Laurel Health Center family allows us to provide even more services through a sliding fee scale to ensure all patients receive excellent dental care.”
North Penn plans to expand and renovate the Lawrenceville clinic to improve access and upgrade equipment to better serve those in need.
“For many years, the Laurel Health Centers have provided space for Tioga Dental Services at our Lawrenceville clinic, and in November, we are taking our partnership to a new level to expand services and champion affordable dental care for all patients,” says James A. Nobles, President and CEO of the Laurel Health Centers.
The Laurel Health Centers accept all major commercial insurances as well as Medical Assistance, Medicare, and sliding fee programs for uninsured, underinsured, and income-eligible patients.
As federally qualified health centers, the Laurel Health Centers are committed to caring for all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. They offer sliding fee discounts to income-eligible families to help with coverage gaps, co-pays, medications, and deductibles.
