Laurel Health and KC101 Team Up to Support Special Olympics

The Laurel Health Centers and KC101 have teamed up to support Tioga County’s Special Olympics chapter with a joint donation of $200.

 

“KC101 and Laurel Health are both passionate about giving back to our community, and we are thrilled to partner on this donation to support our local Special Olympics team,” shares James A. Nobles, President and CEO of the Laurel Health Centers.

James A. Nobles, President and CEO of the Laurel Health Centers (pictured on the left), Kevin Thomas, KC101 Station Owner, and Jess Sandstrom, KC101 General Manager (pictured on the right), met with Tioga County’s Special Olympics Manager Donna Cummings and presented the donation to Special Olympics athletes and staff at Partners in Progress in Mansfield, PA.

 

Local radio favorite KC101 recently ran a charity sponsorship campaign where they donated airtime with the cost being paid forward to the charity of the participating organization’s choice.

 

Tioga County’s Special Olympics athletes train rigorously throughout the year to compete in a wide series of sports competitions at local, sectional, and state events, including track and field, basketball, bowling, swimming, bocce ball, and many more.
