Laurel Health Celebrates Mental Health Providers
By Kristy Warren
Mental health is as important to our overall well-being as our physical health. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, including National Mental Health Provider Appreciation Day, a time to celebrate the important work of mental health professionals and the role of mental health in keeping us well.
Everyone struggles with their mental wellness sometimes, but many people don't get the mental healthcare services they need due to lack of education about mental or behavioral health issues, fear, or stigma. Mental health awareness recognitions are designed to educate, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health conditions, and encourage everyone to seek care when they need it to support their mental and emotional well-being.
Our Laurel Behavioral Health team provides compassionate, expert guidance and comprehensive, confidential support to help those coping with loss, life's challenges, disorders, relationship strife, chronic illness, and stress. Their work is crucial in helping patients understand, improve, and maintain their mental wellness and resilience. Thank you to Laurel Health's mental health team all for your vital work in supporting Laurel Health’s mission to build healthier communities for everyone!
