Access to affordable dental care remains challenging in many rural regions. For the past three years, the Laurel Health Centers have prioritized improving dental access to patients of all ages across northcentral PA. The system has diligently expanded dental services in Bradford County to help meet local need and is excited to announce a second dental office expansion in Towanda, PA.

As Dr. David Redding prepares to retire from practicing, Bradford County Dental sought a like-minded healthcare organization to take over the space and continue providing dental services at the Progress Plaza building. Laurel Health has acquired their former office space and will launch its new dental office, Laurel Dental Towanda at Progress Plaza, this month. 

The Laurel Dental team has been hard at work updating the space, and we have welcomed registered dental hygienist Robin Coyle to our dental team, who previously provided services at the Progress Plaza site and brings nearly 25 years of experience to the team.

“I am dedicated to giving all my patients the best dental care that I can. What I enjoy most is the people you meet and the opportunity to educate patients about their dental hygiene,” Robin shares.

In her free time, she enjoys woodworking, sewing, fix-it projects, and spending time with her grandchildren.

This July, Laurel Dental staff will begin seeing patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am – 4:30 pm in Suite 6 of the Progress Plaza building, located at 1 Elizabeth Street in Towanda, PA. Over the coming months, the team plans to ramp up services to offer care there more days per week. To make an appointment, please call 570-265-2069. Anyone with a standing appointment scheduled by the former office will be contacted to confirm their information and update the appointment if needed.  

The Progress Plaza office will be staffed by certified public health dental hygienists, who are specially trained to independently provide cleanings and basic dental services like x-rays and sealants. If a referral is needed for a complex procedure, the Progress Plaza office will coordinate the patient’s care to make the referral process seamless. Patients may see a Bradford-based Laurel dentist for complex dental services at the Laurel Dental offices on York Avenue in Towanda and 45 Mud Creek Rd. in Troy, PA.

Our Laurel Dental offices accept a wide variety of dental insurances and offer a sliding fee program to income-eligible patients to help with costs. Payment is accepted by check, credit card, debit card, and cash.

Laurel Dental provides complete family dentistry services for all ages, including:

• Routine preventive dental work, including cleanings, checkups, and imaging (bitewing and panoramic x-rays).
• Diagnostic evaluations for pain in teeth or gums.
• Dental repairs like fillings, implants, crowns, restorations, and extractions.
• Cosmetic dentistry, such as teeth whitening services.
• Preventive wellness education to keep patients healthy between visits.
