By Kristy Warren
Christian Herbster, certified physician assistant (PA-C), has joined the Laurel Health team and is accepting new patients of all ages at the Elkland and Lawrenceville Laurel Health Centers.
He is a National Health Service Corps Scholar with experience in both inpatient and outpatient care settings, including physical therapy, rehabilitation, family medicine, nutrition & dietetics, inpatient care, and orthopedics.
“Growing up in a smaller town, I experienced difficulties finding and maintaining appropriate medical care. I always knew I wanted to serve a community while being a dedicated member of it,” he explains. “I seek to provide exceptional care to ensure patients are fully supported while they’re in my care by advocating for my patients and equitable healthcare both inside and outside the clinic.”

“Laurel Health’s mission is a great fit for me, as I have participated with multiple healthcare organizations advocating for fair, equitable healthcare for everyone. I am especially passionate about empowering patients to take control of their health through routine examinations and wellness exams,” he shares.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking, exercising, and spending time with his family. Herbster also volunteers with the American Red Cross and is an active member of multiple Physician Assistant societies committed to improving access to quality healthcare services across the nation.
