Katryn Keefer, PA-C, Joins the Troy Laurel Health Center
By Kristy Warren
Katryn Keefer, certified physician assistant (PA-C), has joined the Troy Laurel Health Center, located at 45 Mud Creek Rd. in Troy, PA, to provide comprehensive family medicine services. She is accepting new patients of all ages at 570-297-3746.
Katryn is passionate about empowering patients through education and preventive care. Her clinical background includes both inpatient and outpatient care settings with training in family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, home health, emergency medicine, psychology, and pediatrics.
“I chose a career in healthcare to support patients as they walk through challenging diagnoses and the day-to-day management of chronic health conditions,” she shares. “The most rewarding part of medicine for me is successfully determining the cause of a patient’s symptoms so we can work toward a solution together and seeing my patients hit their health goals. I’m passionate about patient education, especially when it comes to understanding and practicing sustainable lifestyle changes that can positively impact long-term health."

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA, and her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, PA.
Prior to joining Laurel Health, Keefer worked with the Rural Health Corporation of Northeast Pennsylvania (NEPA), Heritage Valley Convenient Care, and Geneva College Health Services.
In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, journaling, and serving at her church.
Katryn Keefer, PA-C, is now seeing patients at the Troy Laurel Health Center. Laurel Health accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most major commercial insurances. If cost is a barrier to care, please ask about Laurel Health’s sliding fee program and free insurance enrollment assistance.
