Tanika Cushing, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant that sees patients of all ages with a focus on family medicine services and wellness care. She has a wealth of experience in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings with a background in primary care, urgent care, and internal medicine.

About Tanika Cushing: 

“I am from a rural area, and it is important to me to serve others locally to meet their needs and provide access to medical care close to home,” Tanika shares, noting that she and her family relocated back to our area after working in Virginia. 

“I really enjoy working in primary care," she adds. "There is such a wide range of conditions that we treat, and I especially enjoy having the continuity of care with my patients. It is a special bond.”

In her free time, she enjoys baking, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and two children camping and traveling.

Education: 

Tanika received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Environmental Science from Davis and Elkins College in West Virginia and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from West Liberty University in West Virginia. Prior to joining Laurel Health, she worked with Augusta Health and Bradford Family Medicine.
